On August 14th, I wrote an open letter to Tony Stewart and included my prayers for the Ward family. Over a month has passed and yesterday the D.A. announced the case would go before a Grand Jury. A simple majority vote will determine if Tony committed a crime on the night Kevin Ward died.
In a way I wish the case was already decided, so everyone could begin to heal. It will likely be another couple of weeks before we find out if Tony is indicted or if the result of the investigation is a "no bill", meaning no charges will be filed.
I am praying for everyone who was touched by the loss of Kevin Ward, and for Tony and his family.
Sad all the way around.
