The Scotland Vote

Today, Scotland is having a Yes/No vote to decide if it will become an independent nation.

Many thoughts float through my head...

If they decide to be an independent nation, will they, like Ireland in 1922, overprint stamps and repaint mailboxes and buses?

Will Scotland's economy sink or will it do better on it's own than it did as a part of Great Britain. Will they gain jobs, lose jobs or maintain the status quo?

Who gets the oil? Who gets the debt?

How will England, Wales and Northern Ireland fair in the short term? Is a pull-out of the EU a logical next step for them?

Can independence really come without war? Have we come that far?

Will it spark more debate on a free reunited Ireland?

I am waiting to see what happens next.
